How we got here

Five decades, one architecture.

1977
NNPC established — consolidated petroleum operations under federal mandate.
1989
Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) chartered to coordinate national energy policy.
2005
EPSRA enacted — unbundles power sector, creates NERC.
2021
Petroleum Industry Act passes — NUPRC and NMDPRA replace DPR; NNPC becomes commercial entity.
2026
NEIIA established. One platform for capital, vehicles, assets and intelligence across the entire stack.
Issued under the Federal Republic of Nigeria

One source of truth for the sector that powers everything else.

Capital, vehicles, assets, intelligence. Across the entire federal energy stack — from policy to the last connected household.
